Bad Bitches Don't Cry (pt. 3)

Rukie’s friendship with Kelechi continued to progress, with her becoming a steady visitor at the other woman’s shop, and the two exchanging regular chats and calls. She was careful, though, not to let her know here she lived, or take pictures with her.

It had been all too easy to worm her way into Kelechi’s life and heart. What she was not so sure of was if it would be just as easy to get close to Tade's boss. Yes, it's usually easy for a woman to get close to a man, but she did not want to take any chances with him. He could be the principled type and going at him in a seductive manner would just put him off.
As with Kelechi, she began with some research on him, using his phone number and full name as picked up from Tade's phone. His Facebook page had heavy privacy settings, but his LinkedIn profile was more open and expressive. From there she was able to learn that he had a seminar coming up that very weekend.
Ah, a seminar, nice. That would be the best place to get to meet him, she decided. Someone like him would be more open to professional connections.
So, she registered for the seminar, which was scheduled to take place that Saturday; just two days away. While she waited for the day to arrive, she continued to strengthen her friendship with Kelechi.
On the day of the seminar, she made sure she was early to the venue and sat in the very front row. When it was time for Tade’s boss (John Omole) to give his presentation, she made sure she asked a lot of questions, all in a bid to catch his eyes and make an impression. And she did make an impression, both with her mind (by being an engaging and intelligent member of the audience) and with her body (by looking blindingly yet elegantly attractive).
It did not end there. After the seminar, she ensured she tracked the man down to finish off what she had come there for.
"Good afternoon sir,” she began to gush, once she had the opportunity to speak to him. “I just want to let you know that I really enjoyed your session. It was very insightful! And the way you simplified the whole advertising process makes a small business owner like me know how to better promote her business. Thank you!"
Next, she introduced herself to him, giving him her real name, as well as the true nature of her business. In his case, she didn't care whether Tade got to find out or not.
“Sir, I would like you to be my mentor, if you don’t mind. I know I would learn a whole lot from someone like you. Please, please, say yes.”
Of course, he said yes. She caught the look that crossed his face as he accepted the invitation to be her mentor, a look she recognized all too well – the look of a predator seizing up a potential prey. And she knew that he was not a principled type like she had feared.
It would not be hard to get him, after all, she smiled inwardly.
She was right. It took only a couple more days for her to worm her way fully into his confidences and his bed.
Mindless sex… it was something she had done easily in the past, and still something she could easily do, especially when the one who owned the key to her heart and conscience had shown they meant nothing to him.
Not that she enjoyed being with the portly John Omole. Physically, he wasn't her type and financially, he did not measure up to the sort of person she would go out with for money. But she had to do what she had to do.

Her only consolation was that it was all wrapping together nicely... her revenge was almost complete.
